I have been struggling to find a way to express an experience that changed the way I view things. One that combines places and things that need to be seen to be believed...one that provides the opportunity to meet people that are closer to family than friends...one that makes things you may have thought impossible, happen right in front of your eyes.
How do you express in words what it is to taste the sweetest oysters and abalone the world has to offer? What term best describes the feeling of four wheeling it through the bush, bearing witness to the incredible wildlife Australia has to offer? And how do you explain to your friends at home what it's like to camp out under a beautiful Australian sky?
Thankfully I don't have to, Goin' Off Safaris has done it for me... the incredible times I had and even better people I met there will be a part of me for the rest of my life. After a week here you'll realize how words take a backseat to all you feel, touch, taste, and see. Being a part of Lunch's family at Goin' Off Safaris is truly something that needs to be experienced to be believed!!

Just a short note to say a huge thanks for a sensational week.
Without question, the best holiday I have been on. Between bagging out on whiting, diving for abalone, diving with the seals at Baird Bay, bagging out on Flinders Island Snapper, taking in the unique sights of the majestic West Coast or just enjoying the relaxing company on tour, it is hard to pick a favourite day.
Your tour was certainly loaded with fun, activity and adventure. Each and every day was crammed with unique opportunities and your personalized and quality tour matches your character.
Anyone lucky enough to be part of your tour will not be disappointed. Thanks for organizing such a brilliant trip.

My wife and I recently took a four day tour and we would like to express
just a lines as to what we experienced. From the first "G'Day I'm David or
call me Lunch" we were made to feel like long lost friends.
Lunch and Mandy took our senses on an incredible journey. From the visually
amazing coastline to spine tingling interaction with the wild life then
topped off with cuisine that would be the envy of any top restaurant.
The view of the sun setting over Coffin Bay from our accommodation is just
one small memory that will stay with us forever. You just know that when
you do something special in your life that the memories continue to come
back to you. This was one of those holidays.
We can only thank Lunch and Mandy for there hospitality and one thing we
have been doing is encouraging all of our friends to take one of the tours.
We assure you, you will not regret a moment.

I'm a guy who doesn't venture too far from the creature comforts of home. So when a group of mates booked me onto one of Lunch's Goin' Off Safaris I was most apprehensive, if not scared that my limited adventure skills would be exposed.
From the outset of this tour I was placed at ease by Lunch and his Goin' Off Safaris staff. How good are these guys, you feel like you've known them for years. Over the week's safari I fished from rocks, large charter boats, small tinnies and from the surf beach. How good was that!!!! Every day Lunch and his staff took us to different locations on the Eyre Peninsula and we never failed to catch heaps of fish.
Lunch ran the safari at a pace that suited the whole group. The safari was structured so that we could either work to set activities or do whatever we wanted to do and weather permitting Lunch and his crew did their best to accommodate our wishes.
Lunch clearly has great knowledge of the Eyre Peninsula and takes personal pride in showing and explaining the sites to his groups. And food.........how good was that. Heaps of fish, abalone, oysters, crabs and crays. And all (nearly) caught by us and cooked perfectly (not by us).
I can't recommend Goin' Off Safaris highly enough. This is the perfect getaway to catch up with friends and meet new ones. The perfect de-stress option from your situation. Get your hands dirty or sit back and be waited on.....your choice.
To Lunch and the crew, thanks very much for welcoming us to your bit of paradise. Fantastic. Book us in for next year. (I won't need the fishing lesson this time.)

Great locations and amazing landscapes and experiences that I never thought possible. Lunch as your guide makes you feel like you’ve known him for years.

G’Day Lunch,
It’s now 7 weeks since our odyssey into the wilds of the Eyre Peninsula, and we’re all still talking about our adventures to anyone willing to listen. Trying to confirm the highlight for Hayden and Zac was a very interesting endeavour – Sand boarding, beach fishing, the shark dive and the tuna swim were all high up there, but the day spent diving with the Seals and Dolphins at Baird’s Bay has surfaced as the clear winner. They just couldn’t get enough of it. Hayden now relishes his new nickname - “Marine Boy”.
Snowy’s highlight was a little easier to identify – TUNA FISHING! Cranking in the blue rockets is something that he not only wanted to do for a very long time, but has now given him some significant ‘bragging rights’ over his equally mad fishing brothers.
As for me, I realised after returning to the grind of everyday life that my highlight was the absolute quality time spent with my son, my mate & his son – under your guidance. Too often I find myself calling home to say I’m working late, or have to travel away, or can’t make the basketball game – ‘sorry mate, I have to work’. I will always remember our trip into your backyard with clear memories of a fantastic bonding experience with my son, thank you.
I know you’re aware of the tragic bushfires we’ve endured here in Victoria over the last 3 weeks (your donation of 10% of the summer profits is very generous). Snowy lost his entire property in just 15 minutes – fortunately the house was saved by his clever (self installed) sprinkler system, but everything else is gone. Many people died, many more lost their homes and their way of life. As you would imagine there has been a very sombre mood over our communities.
Recently, in an effort to ‘lighten the tone’ (when all around seemed to be ashes and despair), I asked Hayden where he wanted to go for our next adventure. His immediate response was “Does Lunch do safaris in Darwin......?” As you can see, you’ve certainly made an impression on as all.
There’s no doubt that we will remain in contact, and I’m equally as sure that we will again cross the fence and spend some time discovering the hidden joys of the west coast, as only you can show us.
I trust your family is well, look after yourself.
Enjoy,

You bloody beawty! There’s so much more to say, but that phrase just about sums up the whole day. Look out over the mighty Great Australian Bight in the morning, swim around rock pools, then hop in the 4WD to climb up massive sand dunes only to sand-board down them when you reach the top! Faaaar Out!
Eat lunch on one of the most untouched beaches I’ve ever seen, then go and catch a mighty bloody salmon!! This is ridiculous!!
But my highlight of the day, and probably my entire year, is to get home absolutely buggered and put my feet up then get presented with the hugest amount of the freshest, most delicious oysters, sand crabs, abalone, prawns and fish I have ever tasted! !
As the day progressed I felt myself getting closer and closer to heaven, and by the time I was halfway through the seafood feast, I realised I had walked straight through the pearly gates and was speaking directly to God himself.
It doesn’t get any better than this.
Thanks again for the best time EVER!

The Eyre Peninsula is almost a hidden gem with so much to see and do here and what a fantastic coastline! The area is just breathtaking, beautiful, rugged, almost indescribable with words and one has to see it to believe it.
We will be back one day soon!
