Hows things Pete?
Correct you are! The pelicans, ducks, swans & many others are mostly on the north end of Lake Eyre North or more specifically, Goyders Lagoon, Warburton Groove & the Coongie Lake area.
If you are interested, we can organise this for you from Coober Pedy & suggest a day trip. This would take in William Creek, Coongie lakes, Birdsville (have lunch here), Goyders Lagoon, down to Warburton Groove ( the top of Lake Eyre North), across the Painted Desert & back to Coober Pedy. This is a full day with around 6 hours flying time.
A half day flighttakes you from Coober Pedy to the top of Lake Eyre North, along Warburton Creek for 10 minutes, back to southern end of Lake Eyre North, stop at William Creek for an hour & then back to Coober Pedy.
Amazing scenery & obviously you will cover more territory in a day trip, but both are well worth it.
Cheers,

like to see the best parts of Lake Eyre
seems some trips out of Marree etc, but only doing south or south of north (if that makes sense) - have been told north of north is where the gazillion birds flock in etc. should we be trying to get to there too?
is it feasible?

Thx
